Mahe Island
The largest island is 27 kilometres long and 12 kilometres wide. Preferred holiday destination. The island has many beaches, hotels, restaurants and attractions. It is also home to the world's smallest capital, Victoria, which has its own international airport. The beautiful beaches and lagoons, close to the tropical gardens, are home to luxury hotels, small family-run hotels (8-10 rooms) and private villas where the family can prepare their own meals.
Praslin Island
It is the second largest island in the chain. Known for its many coral reefs, rich flora and fauna. The scenery is incredibly beautiful and has been preserved in its original form - as sailors saw it more than 300 years ago! Flowers, tropical vegetation and palm forests are everywhere. Steep mountains descend to the beaches and palm trees almost touch the emerald lagoons. Once an ideal hideaway for pirates, the island still hides the secrets of buried treasure and fierce sea battles.
