Programme
Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 08:10, welcome and transfer, breakfast and refreshments. Half day tour of Kuala Lumpur by coach. The tour begins with the unique Bird Park - the largest free-flying bird park in the world, protecting over 200 foreign and native species. Here you can enjoy the show with the clever Ara parrots or take a photo with the amazing-looking rhinoceros bird.
The tour continues with a stop at Merdeka Square - the place where the independence of K.L. was declared on August 31, 1957. Here one can see the most interesting examples of Moghul architecture in the city, such as Jamek Mosque with its 3 domes, courtyard and minarets arranged in a symmetrical composition; Sultan Abdul Samad Building, once housing the administration of the „Federal Malay States” and now the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture, impressive for its elegant structure and 41-meter clock tower. At the end of the tour, walk around the Petronas Towers - the tallest Twin Towers in the world (452m).
Transfer to hotel Melia Kuala Lumpur 4* and accommodation. The hotel is located next to Bintang Walk - one of the busiest streets in Kuala Lumpur, where you can not only see a huge variety of restaurants, cafes and flashy shops, but also catch one of the interesting street performances. Nearby is the Chinatown shopping street Petaling Street - one of the most colourful places in K.L., where stalls are open late into the night and where shopping is a way of life.
Free time for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and transfer to airport for departure domestic flight at 06:30 via Miri to Gunung Mulu National Park /UNESCO/ on Borneo Island. Arrival, transfer and check in at the beautiful Mulu Marriott Resort 5*, which is located in the park itself and is like a luxurious retreat in nature. Afternoon excursion to Deer and Lang Caves. Deer Cave is over 2 km long and 174 m high, making it one of the largest in the whole world. It is called „Deer Cave“ because its largest chamber used to shelter entire herds of deer. However, the most interesting phenomenon here is at dusk, when tens of thousands of bats fly out of the cave at sunset in search of food at night. Lang Cave impresses with its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites and is on the UNESCO list of unique natural sites for a reason.
Return to the hotel and dinner amidst the exotic surroundings and sounds of the jungle. Overnight.
After breakfast, half day excursion in the national park. Transfer by boats to the settlement „Batu Bungan“, where you will see the characteristic „longhouse” - long houses built on stilts. Next, a continuation for Wind and Clearwater Caves. The first of them is famous for the cool breeze in its narrow parts and the impressive rock formations - stalactites, stalagmites and stone corals. Continue by boat to the second and longest cave in Asia /about 107 km/. Its entrance is reached after climbing 200 steps through the rainforest. With its underground river, pathways and suspension bridges, the cave Clearwater offers great photo opportunities and independent exploration. A picnic lunch follows in the beautiful scenery surrounding the cave, where you will have the opportunity to take a dip in a naturally created pool of crystal clear water coming from Clearwater. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for flight to the city Kota Kinabaly, which is located in the northernmost part of the island of Borneo with the powerful presence above it of the highest mountain in Malaysia - Kinabalu /4095m/. Landing and transfer to hotel Shangri la Tanjung Aru 5*, part of the Tunku Abdul Aquatic Reserve. Check in, time to relax and explore the beautiful seaside complex.
In the evening - watching the unique sunset from Sunset the hotel bar or the silky sandy beach - the choice is yours!

Breakfast. Free time to enjoy the hotel's many facilities - swimming pool, secluded sandy beaches, variety of water sports such as diving, parasailing, water skiing, snorkelling, island trekking. A wide range of spa programmes reflect the cultural healing traditions of the many indigenous people, from the specialised rice scrubs and masks of Kadazandusun to the age-old practices of the Bajau sea nomads.
An advantage of the 5* complex is that it has its own harbor, from which daily motor boats depart to the nearby park - Tunku Abdul Reserve.
Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park„ is located in the so-called Coral Triangle, known as the maritime epicenter of the world. Home to diverse marine life exceeding 75% of species known to science, with coral gardens located 20 meters offshore. This underwater kingdom has over 25 dive sites for year-round exploration on the five islands in the reserve. The marine centre at the resort looks after the turtles, coral reefs and aquatic conservation.

After breakfast, relax on the beach or optionally join a full day air excursion including lunch to Sandakan, visiting the Sepilok Orangutan Reserve and the Center for the Conservation of Unique Long-Nosed Monkeys.
Translated from Malay, the word orangutan means „the man of the forest” - this is how the natives named the monkeys that stand closest in anatomy to humans. At the centre, you will get more information on how the necessary care is taken to turn orphaned orangutans into self-sustaining adults that are released to live freely in the reserve after the age of 5. You will then walk along a specially designated trail to the feeding platform, where the free-living orangutans in this national park come at a set time each day to feed.
Included lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to Center for the Protection of Long-Nosed Monkeys in Malaysia, dedicated to the conservation of some of the world's rarest primates and their habitat.
These monkeys are only found on the island of Borneo, making them unique to this part of the world. Here you will be able to observe these impressive animals up close in their natural habitat. The protected area is also home to silver langurs and various bird species.
Transfer to the airport and return flight to Kota Kinabalu. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
