Journey to the Bem Channel, surrounded by the pristine beauty of Misty Fjords National Park, described by John Muir as the Yosemite of the North. Along the way you'll stop to see an active bald eagle nest, a Tlingit pictograph, and New Eddystone Rock, a huge volcanic spiral rising from the emerald sea. Enjoy a professional exploration of Rudyard Bay, a masterpiece carved in ice. Here you'll learn the natural history of the fjords, hear the chirping of nesting seabirds and feel the mist of glistening waterfalls as you glide silently beneath 3,000-foot glacial cliffs. On the cruise back to Ketchikan, sample a selection of snacks and beverages as you watch for whales, seals, eagles and other wildlife. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about local culture and history or enjoy a video presentation related to the trip. <strong>Notes<\/strong>A: Depending on the location of the cruise ship, participants may be required to climb up to 300 yards and walk up a ramp (which can be quite steep at low tide) to board the cruise ship.
